Over the past year, we've been working with RSPB Scotland to develop a pilot project to help churches and Christians to engage with nature and care for wildlife. We've been writing up project schedules and communications plans, building partnerships, and doing lots of background work that I won't bore you with!
We're also developing resource packs for churches. These will be available each season, and will contain a range of activities - something for children, something for adults, a mix of practical conservation tasks and nature engagement activities. There are worship resources for bringing nature into the church, and practical actions to get the church out into nature. They've been fun to develop, with lots of creative ideas and some road testing in the woods with friends.
Though the pilot project will focus on key churches around specific RSPB reserves in Scotland, the resource packs will be available for anyone to download. The project launches in Spring 2018, and we'll let you know when the first resources are ready to go.
