It's been almost six months since we began working under the Earthbound name, but we haven't been able to say much about what we've actually been working on. We were pitching an idea, and then waiting for various meetings, board discussions and so on before we knew whether it would move ahead or not.
This month we've seen a couple of big strides forward, so it's nice to be able to share what we're up to: we're developing a pilot project with RSPB Scotland.
The goal is to engage churches in conservation and environmental action by connecting them with their local RSPB reserves. We're working on the full plan at the moment, and hope to have the first sign-ups by the Spring of 2017. The scheme will run with an initial dozen churches, clustered around key Scottish reserves. Then we'll learn what we can and open up to others when we know we've got it right.
If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, please get in touch. We're keen to draw on the enthusiasm and expertise of as many people as we can.
